Educational workshops

On 22 May 2024 a workshop organised by the Education Department took place on the museum premises. It was attended by pupils from an elementary school in Nowy Staw and the Elementary School No. 2 in Malbork.

The aim of the meeting was to demonstrate the ancient ways of processing amber. The pupils had the opportunity to learn about the various stages of processing amber, presented by Grażyna and Zenon Śmigl. The pupils also took an active part in the process. On top of that, each of them could make amber jewellery for themselves.

The workshop was combined with the presentation of the exhibition ‘Christoph Maucher. An amber casket full of secrets’. The whole-day activities took place as part of the implementation of an educational programme dedicated to the exhibition.
