Research Library

In its present form, the library has been functioning since 1961 as one of the departments of the Castle Museum in Malbork. Created mainly for the needs of the employees of the Museum, it also makes its book collection available to the inhabitants of Malbork, students, scientists from Poland and abroad. The library has a scientific character, defined by the organizational statute of the Castle Museum.

Our library is located in the Karwan building, where a spacious reading room with direct access to the reference collection, a computer station and a microfilm and microfiche scanner has been created at the readers’ disposal.

The lending room offers a second computer station with the library’s computer catalog and traditional card catalogs.

The library collection can only be used on site, in the reading room.
